Email messages can be confusing…
We set out with a goal of making it easier for people to express themselves more naturally with friends, family members and business contacts. Everyone has, at one time or another, had their messages misinterpreted. Perhaps it was because of a simple grammatical error. Maybe the CAPS LOCK button was stuck. The fact of the matter is that email and text-based communications make it hard to impart tone, emotion, energy, excitement, sadness, sarcasm, etc.
Video chatting is cool, *if* everyone is online…
One solution we’re all becoming more familiar with is using video chat – using tools like iChat, FaceTime and Skype, to name just a few. Live video chatting is certainly better than email or texting when you’re trying to impart tone and energy, and all the other important emotions that are so critical to our communications. However, what happens when the people you want to chat with aren’t online? Eyejot was created so family members can easily connect anytime, anywhere.
No one likes installing applications…
Another big problem we wanted to solve with Eyejot (for the desktop) was that we knew we didn’t want people to have to download and install yet another program. We all know that computer viruses and spyware have made us all distrustful when it comes to changing our computer’s configuration. With Eyejot we knew we needed to make our platform and product client-free. Nothing to install. Nothing to download. Open up Eyejot in your browser and start working. Any browser! Any desktop OS!
Video needs to be portable
Increasingly we’re becoming more mobile and need to be able to use the same tools we’re used to using on our desktop and laptop computers. That’s why we created the Eyejot Mobile App which brings the amazing power of the Eyejot video mail platform directly to your mobile device. Today Eyejot is available on the Apple iPhone. Soon we’ll have it available for Android phones too.
